We are in search of a skilled power electronics engineer to join our dynamic team.

This position encompasses all facets of product development, including but not limited to the specification of board-level power architecture, selection and development of power management solutions, and voltage regulator (VR) programming and debugging. Additionally, the role involves post-silicon validation and power correlation to ensure that system-level performance and power metrics are achieved.


Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Hardware Engineering or a similar field.
OR

Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related discipline with at least 1 year of experience in Hardware Engineering or a related area.

OR
PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Key Responsibilities:


Demonstrates expertise in one or more engineering domains, including power electronics (both switch mode and linear), power management, high bandwidth/low latency control interfaces, thermal management, power distribution networks, and PCB design and construction.

Proficient in multi-phase buck, boost, and LDO regulators, as well as eFuse, hot-swap controllers, crystal oscillators, low-noise clocks, precision references, voltage level translators, differential amplifiers, and telemetry for voltage and current sensing.

Utilizes design and simulation tools such as SIMPLIS, MATLAB, or other industry-standard VR simulation software.
Collaborates with power, system, and board architecture teams to ensure that designs meet the requirements for our SoC.
Provides schematic and layout guidance to the CAD team and conducts design reviews in accordance with established internal and industry standards.

Leads internal simulation efforts to guarantee that board designs meet signal and power integrity (SI/PI) criteria, including impedance analysis, IR drop analysis, and transient droop/overshoot assessments for all power rails.

It is essential to work effectively with a degree of abstraction and uncertainty.
Develops, documents, and executes board validation test plans before and after silicon integration in our laboratory environment.

Conducts bring-up and testing of prototypes using standard laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, electronic loads, passive/active/power probes, T32 debuggers, etc.). Executes power stress tests to evaluate voltage regulator performance.

Facilitates the identification of system-level issues to determine root causes. Analyzes test outcomes to ensure that adequate design margins are achieved. Provides constructive feedback to teams for necessary modifications. Supports SoC, software, and firmware teams throughout the development process.
Monitors industry technology trends and collaborates with other technology teams. Offers technical expertise for next-generation initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.

Compensation:
$93,000 - $140,500.00. This pay range reflects the broad minimum to maximum salary for this job code in the specified location.
