Position Overview:
The Senior Process Control Engineer is responsible for a range of professional, technical, and administrative tasks aimed at supporting, designing, and programming process control systems across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Program and assist junior Process Control Specialists in the programming, testing, debugging, and optimization of automation control systems.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues within control systems.
3. Analyze and fine-tune intricate process control loops for optimal performance.
4. Develop implementation documentation for new process control systems.
5. Contribute to the establishment of instrumentation and control specification standards.
6. Design, deploy, and commission process control networks and panels in the field.
7. Coordinate process control and instrumentation standards for various projects.
8. Recommend upgrades and modifications to existing systems.
9. Participate in the testing, debugging, and commissioning of new processes and equipment across various sites.

Technical Skills Required:
Extensive knowledge of PLC-based process control systems and PC-based HMI systems in the water and wastewater sector. Proficiency in programming and implementing both continuous and batch control loops. Ability to install, program, and optimize all components of process control systems, including PLCs, I/O modules, and communication networks.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering (environmental focus), Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required. A minimum of 6 years of direct experience in control system design, programming, and operations in the water and wastewater industry is essential.

Work Environment:
The role requires the ability to work in various physical conditions, including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces. The candidate must be prepared to respond to emergency situations as needed.

Additional Information:
Participation in the Division's Emergency Duty Program may be required. A valid driver's license is necessary, and candidates must complete all safety training as mandated.
