Minimum Qualifications:

- OR a PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience.
- 3+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in Software Engineering or related fields.
- 3+ years of experience with Database Management Systems.
- 3+ years of experience with APIs.
- 2+ years in a technical leadership position, with or without direct reports.
- 1+ year of experience with version control systems like Git or Perforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilizes advanced software engineering knowledge to design, develop, modify, and validate critical embedded and cloud-edge software, applications, and specialized utility programs.
- Evaluates user requirements, software specifications, and project constraints to design and customize sophisticated software for optimal operational efficiency.
- Designs and implements software subsystems for complex, large-scale products and systems.
- Leads design, coding, and testing efforts to ensure projects meet specifications and deadlines.
- Conducts complex code reviews and regression testing, addressing and resolving issues to maintain code quality.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams (e.g., Hardware, Systems, and Testing engineers) to enhance design solutions that integrate with other project components.
- Creates detailed technical documentation for complex software projects and reviews documentation prepared by junior engineers.
Level of Responsibility:
- Operates independently with minimal oversight.
- Decision-making is critical and significantly influences program, product, or project success.
- Requires strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information; may involve negotiation and influence.
- Holds a moderate level of influence over key organizational decisions and is consulted by senior leadership for critical decisions.
