Job Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Manager or Assistant, the Mailroom Operations Specialist is responsible for managing mailroom activities and operating a light vehicle for the collection and distribution of mail and packages.


Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a vehicle to transport items to designated locations.
  • Conduct inspections of the vehicle and cargo for any issues before and after trips.
  • Ensure the vehicle is maintained according to company standards regarding tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water.
  • Load and unload items from the vehicle.
  • Deliver items to the specified locations.
  • Complete necessary documentation including delivery tickets, receiving tickets, mileage logs, and time records.
  • Manage the pickup and delivery of mail.
  • Sort and allocate mail efficiently.
  • Utilize mailing equipment effectively.
  • Calculate postal fees accurately.
  • Operate labeling machinery as required.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required, along with 6 to 12 months of relevant experience or training, or a suitable combination of education and experience. A valid driver's license and current auto liability insurance are mandatory. Candidates must meet the minimum age requirements to operate company vehicles.
