Position Overview

The Aviation Operations Specialist is responsible for conducting thorough risk assessments related to flight operations and prevailing conditions. This role involves piloting company aircraft for official business travel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pilot company aircraft, ensuring safe transport of passengers for business purposes.
  • Coordinate with passengers regarding travel arrangements.
  • Assist in preparing and filing flight itineraries and plans at the airport.
  • Conduct pre-flight inspections to verify the proper functioning of engines, controls, instruments, and other critical systems.
  • Utilize instruments to navigate aircraft in low visibility situations.
  • Operate aircraft controls and manage flights in accordance with established regulations and procedures.
  • Monitor engine performance, fuel usage, and aircraft systems throughout the flight.
  • Evaluate airport altitudes, external temperatures, aircraft weight, and wind conditions to determine necessary takeoff speeds.
  • Participate in safety audits and routine maintenance checks on aircraft.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications

Must possess a corporate pilot license, a bachelor's degree, and 5-7 years of relevant experience. A comprehensive understanding of aviation regulations and procedures is essential, along with strong communication and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements

This position operates in a high-pressure environment and requires prolonged periods of sitting, as well as the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Candidates must be able to obtain an FAA First Class Medical certification, with vision requirements of 20/20 distant and 20/40 near, with or without correction. All physical demands listed are essential functions of the role.
