Position Overview for Operating Room Transport Specialist
Responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of patients to and from the operating room and various hospital departments. The role requires familiarity with all hospital departments and adherence to hospital regulations. The individual will assist in positioning patients, assembling and troubleshooting equipment in the operating room, and providing support in the PACU and OPS with patient mobility.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain knowledge of surgical asepsis and procedures, assisting with surgical preparations.
2. Ensure cleanliness of stretchers and operating rooms between surgical cases.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum Experience:
Preferred experience includes up to 1 year as a transporter or nurse technician.
Required Certifications:
American Heart Association BLS CPR certification is mandatory.
