About the Role

The Library of Congress is seeking a highly skilled Administrative Specialist to join our Talent Recruitment and Outreach Division, Human Capital Directorate, Chief Operating Officer. This is a permanent position that offers a mix of in-office and remote work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the smooth operation of the Talent Recruiting and Outreach (TRO) division, ensuring seamless coordination with the Human Capital Directorate (HCD).
  • Assist in planning and administering agency-wide internship and fellowship programs, fostering a culture of innovation and development.
  • Provide administrative support to the TRO Chief, including calendar management, special projects, and strategic planning.
  • Coordinate records management activities, serving as the TRO's Records Management Liaison and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the execution of the hiring and recruitment process, promoting diversity and inclusion within the organization.
  • Provide administrative advice to others within the organizational unit, leveraging expertise to drive business outcomes.

Working Conditions
  • This is a non-supervisory, bargaining unit position that requires working closely with staff from HCD, managers and supervisors, and administrative personnel Library-wide on administrative matters.
