Job Overview

Are you excited about the prospect of managing and promoting assigned products and services, particularly in the realms of Assessment and Analytics, within designated accounts or territories? The role of Sales Executive II involves achieving revenue targets through effective prospecting, qualifying, and closing of new business opportunities.


This position requires a seasoned sales professional who can engage customers meaningfully, addressing their challenges with suitable Renaissance solutions.

Key responsibilities include nurturing and sustaining long-term relationships with customers, acquiring new clients, and collaborating with Account Managers and other internal stakeholders. You will ensure a smooth transition for newly acquired clients to the appropriate Account Management and Customer Success teams. Regular travel for customer interactions, conferences, and other revenue-generating activities is a requirement.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales Pursuit

Prospecting:

Develop and implement strategies to identify and qualify growth opportunities through various methods, including in-person meetings, virtual engagements, emails, and phone calls.


Opportunity Management:

Oversee the opportunity pipeline, engaging multiple decision-makers to ensure clear communication and consensus throughout the opportunity's lifecycle. Proactively identify and address obstacles to closing deals, utilizing all available resources creatively.


Consultative Solution Selling:
Conduct thorough research to offer solutions tailored to the unique challenges and strategic goals of customers. Lead collaboration among the account team and cross-functional partners to create effective solutions. Skilled in planning communications and prioritizing outreach.

Closing Business:

Consistently finalize deals that have progressed beyond needs assessment, crafting persuasive presentations to overcome late-stage objections and secure customer trust.


Industry Knowledge
K-12 Education Sector:
Educational Acumen:
Possess extensive knowledge of the K-12 education landscape, including public, private, and parochial institutions. Understand the dynamics of K-12 districts, administrative roles, funding mechanisms, purchasing behaviors, policies, and trends.

Domain Expertise:
Maintain strong technical knowledge of prevalent tools and trends in the educational technology sector, staying informed about future policies and practices that may impact customer prospects.

Account and Customer Management
Customer-Centric Approach:

Foster customer loyalty and satisfaction, developing executive-level advocates through responsiveness and a deep understanding of customer needs, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor.


Consultative Partnership:
Employ a sales strategy focused on comprehending customer needs while delivering value through a collaborative approach.

Account Planning:
Drive coordinated account planning efforts that leverage relationships and contacts.

Formulate business plans, prioritize initiatives based on account potential, and understand competitive landscapes, funding, policies, regional issues, and customer constraints.


Customer Retention:
Cultivate and sustain customer loyalty and personal connections. Set objectives, request references, and secure repeat business.

Strategic Account Development:

Create long-term account strategies that promote growth across territories while ensuring support from both internal and external team members. Maintain accountability for executing plans and achieving growth objectives.


Business Management
Strategy Implementation:
Execute sales strategies to meet or exceed planned outcomes for the territory.

Collaboration with Internal Partners:
Work closely with colleagues on campaigns, feedback initiatives, and joint problem-solving, fostering a supportive team environment.

Influential Leadership:
Promote effective teamwork through influential leadership, coordinating resources to achieve optimal results for both customers and Renaissance.
