Patient Care Technician - PRN/Per Diem/As Needed

Hours: 7:00AM-7:00PM

Competitive shift differentials for nights and weekends

At Select Specialty Hospital, you will be responsible for providing care to some of the most vulnerable patients in our community. Our focus is on individuals who are chronically and critically ill or those who require extended hospital care following intensive treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting patients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, oral care, and grooming.
  • Responding promptly to patient calls and performing necessary services that enhance their physical comfort.
  • Engaging in regular patient rounds to ensure their needs are met.
  • Facilitating patient transportation to various treatment areas, assisting with mobility in stretchers and wheelchairs.
  • Ensuring cleanliness and proper maintenance of medical equipment and supplies.
  • Keeping patient rooms organized and tidy, including making beds and restocking supplies as needed.

Qualifications:

We seek individuals who understand patient needs and ensure that each patient feels valued and heard. You should be dedicated to providing high-quality care and possess problem-solving skills that thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant work experience (3+ years).
  • BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Prior experience as a nursing assistant, certification in nursing assistance, or experience in a related healthcare role is necessary.

Nursing students may be considered for this role if approved by the relevant regulatory body.
