Position: Full-time Animal Care Technician
Job Responsibilities:
As a vital member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks essential to the care of our patients. Your role will include:
- Providing direct assistance in a veterinary clinic environment.
- Administering medications and ensuring proper nutrition for animals.
- Effectively performing blood draws and placing IV catheters.
- Monitoring anesthesia and assisting in surgical procedures.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of one year of experience in a veterinary setting.
- Availability to work weekends and during clinic hours, which are Monday to Friday from 7:45 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet throughout the day.
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, along with basic computer skills.
Professional Appearance:
All employees are expected to maintain a professional appearance, including wearing scrubs during working hours.
