Role Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Patient Care Technician is to deliver routine daily nursing assistance and services to assigned Patients, adhering to their personalized care plans.

Required Qualifications:
  • State certification as a Nursing Assistant is essential.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and document personal care for assigned Patients, ensuring compliance with safety policies and state/federal regulations.
  • Encourage and support Patients' independence to the fullest extent possible.
  • Communicate Patients' status to the supervising charge nurse at the start and conclusion of each shift.
  • Provide insights into Patients' conditions and document observations as necessary.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Follow established procedures for safe lifting and transferring of Patients.
  • Ensure that all equipment, including mobile devices, is charged, clean, and operational, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
  • Participate in annual in-service training programs to maintain nursing assistant certification.
  • Perform incidental housekeeping or maintenance tasks to uphold a clean and hazard-free environment for Patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Exhibit leadership qualities and serve as a role model for the team.
  • Understand and enforce Cantex Continuing Care Networks Clinical Policies and Procedures for Abuse Prevention.
  • Attend weekly in-service training on Patient Care Management Systems and integrate learnings into patient care delivery.
  • Ensure the safety of patients/residents at all times.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.
