Role Objective:

The HR Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting various human resources functions within Vacatia, Inc. This position will adopt a client-focused approach to contribute to the objectives and performance metrics of the HR department.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating closely with the HR Director to manage daily HR operations
  • Overseeing and allocating all JIRA tickets, ensuring timely and accurate follow-up with HR and payroll team members
  • Serving as the main point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR matters
  • Proactively facilitating the execution of HR processes
  • Establishing strong relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Identifying operational gaps and assisting in implementing necessary changes
  • Supporting performance improvement initiatives and fostering positive organizational change
  • Monitoring and enhancing company culture
  • Managing HR documentation and maintaining accurate HR records
  • Administering FMLA/LOA, workers' compensation, and unemployment processes
  • Providing guidance on policies and procedures to both internal and external clients
  • Assisting with benefits administration, including health and retirement plans
  • Handling recruitment and employment reference checks as needed
  • This position is fully remote
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a generalist HR role for a multi-state employer
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local employment regulations
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations across various levels
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to cultivate long-term business relationships
  • Highly organized with strong multitasking capabilities
  • Maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating trustworthiness
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Fluency in English with strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with HRIS/payroll systems, preferably Paylocity

Work Environment:

This role is entirely remote. Candidates must be available during regular business hours in their respective time zones. A stable, high-speed internet connection and a working cellular phone are required. The position involves primarily indoor work with minimal noise. Candidates should be capable of performing job functions independently and collaboratively. Effective communication, both written and oral, is essential.

Physical Demands:

The role primarily involves sedentary work with limited physical exertion. Candidates should be able to work on a computer for an average of 8 hours daily and may need to travel occasionally for business purposes.
