Role Summary:

The HR Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the corporate HR functions for Vacatia, Inc. and its subsidiaries. This position will take a customer-focused approach to assist in achieving the objectives and targets of the Human Resources department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the HR Director on daily HR operations
  • Oversee and allocate all JIRA tickets, ensuring timely and accurate completion with the HR and payroll teams
  • Serve as the primary contact for team members regarding HR inquiries and direct them as needed
  • Proactively facilitate the execution of HR processes
  • Establish strong business relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Identify areas for improvement, propose solutions, and assist in implementing necessary changes
  • Support performance enhancement initiatives and promote positive organizational change
  • Monitor and nurture the company culture
  • Manage HR documentation and maintain accurate HR records
  • Handle FMLA/LOA, workers' compensation, and unemployment administration
  • Provide guidance on policies and procedures to both internal and external clients
  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits, including health and retirement plans
  • Conduct recruitment and reference checks as needed
  • This is a fully remote position
  • Perform any additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a generalist HR role for a multi-state employer
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, multi-state, and local employment regulations
  • Demonstrated experience in managing employee relations at all levels
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Adept at building long-term professional relationships
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and trustworthiness
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Fluent in English with good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience with HRIS/payroll systems, preferably Paylocity

Work Environment:

This role is entirely remote. Candidates must be available during regular business hours in their respective time zones. A stable, high-speed internet connection and a working cellular phone are required. The position entails performing indoor work with minimal noise and the ability to work independently or collaboratively as needed. Candidates should be capable of following written and oral instructions clearly and effectively.

Physical Requirements:

The role primarily involves sedentary work with limited physical exertion. Candidates should be able to work on a computer for an average of 8 hours daily and may need to travel occasionally for business purposes.
