JB Consulting Systems is in search of a Facilities Operations Specialist with technical expertise in essential services such as plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC. This role is pivotal in overseeing and managing operations within a rental car facility.

The Facilities Operations Specialist will focus on a range of facility management tasks across various project sites. Responsibilities may encompass HVAC systems, electrical installations, plumbing, structural integrity, building envelope maintenance, fueling systems, and fire safety measures. Under the guidance of the Facility Services Manager, this position is tasked with ensuring that contractors and onsite teams uphold site and building standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee vendor performance and ensure compliance with service agreements and departmental standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance capital improvement strategies.
  • Coordinate inspections to assess site and facility conditions across multiple locations.
  • Verify that work completed by staff and contractors meets quality expectations, providing feedback and addressing any deficiencies.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise.
  • Maintain current knowledge in the area of expertise and share updates with the team as necessary.
  • Build strong working relationships with team members and foster positive communication with tenants and building staff.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and advancements.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Participate actively in meetings as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree, trade school, or technical certification preferred; High School Diploma with 4 years of relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of facility equipment and maintenance protocols.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Solid knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
  • Aptitude for identifying unsafe conditions or practices.
  • Effective communication skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and typing skills.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Able to thrive in a collaborative work environment.
