Quality Assurance Engineer for Semiconductor Products

The role of the Product Quality Engineer encompasses the development of key elements within characterization and qualification strategies, as well as the manufacturing processes.

During the silicon evaluation phase, collaboration with the Test Engineer is essential to establish a robust characterization program and assess device performance.

As production commences, the engineer will liaise closely with manufacturing facilities to facilitate the transition of applications to production sites and address any ongoing issues that may arise.

The Product Quality Engineer is expected to engage across various teams and disciplines.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and analyze test documentation, including board schematics and part datasheets.
  • Configure test boards and fixtures utilizing standard laboratory equipment to execute testing protocols.
  • Conduct bench measurements and systematically organize and analyze collected data.
  • Contribute to the formulation of characterization and qualification plans.
  • Assist in the creation of Qualification hardware.
  • Generate and maintain comprehensive product documentation.
  • Oversee project timelines and budget considerations.
  • Support the manufacturing strategy and evaluate product cost implications.
  • Address yield-limiting challenges for new products and collaborate with external vendors as necessary.
  • Assist test engineering in the initiation and support of test programs at international vendors.
  • Provide support to the Test Engineer, FA, and QA teams for production qualification and customer-related issues.
  • Acquire and maintain proficiency in test programs.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with digital and analog semiconductor circuits.
  • Proficient in data analysis of bench and/or ATE data.
  • Familiarity with schematics and troubleshooting of PC boards.
  • Experience in soldering and building PCB boards and circuits.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a knack for resolving complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interest and experience in precision machining, woodworking, or related fields is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on a daily basis.


Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with scripting languages is beneficial.
  • Experience with benchtop or ATE testing is advantageous.
  • Strong mathematical and statistical skills are a plus.
