Job Description

Elevate Semiconductor is seeking a highly skilled Director of Test Engineering to lead our test engineering team in San Diego. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing test strategies that meet the needs of our customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analog test development and experience with complex test methodologies. You will be responsible for designing and developing test programs for multi-site testing, as well as working with outside vendors to develop load boards and sockets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Test Engineering Team: Manage direct reports, standards, and infrastructure to ensure the team is equipped to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Develop Test Strategies: Create high-level test engineering strategies for product families and develop test programs for final test and wafer-level testing.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with designers, product engineers, and quality assurance teams to develop complex test methodologies and ensure seamless integration with production processes.
  • Manage Test Equipment and Infrastructure: Oversee the maintenance and upgrade of test equipment and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and Implement Yield Management Systems: Work with product engineers and quality assurance teams to develop and implement yield management systems to improve product quality and reduce costs.
  • Support Product Launch and Sustaining Activities: Collaborate with product engineers and quality assurance teams to support product launch and sustaining activities, including test program development and data log evaluations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Requirement: B.S.E.E. with 8+ years of direct test engineering experience.
  • Strong Background in Analog Test Development: Experience with complex analog test development, including mixed-signal background for ADC, DAC, PLL.
  • Programming Experience: Proficiency in C, C++, VBT, Linux, and Unix environments.
  • Test Program Version Control: Experience with SVN Repository or GIT.
  • Scripting Languages: Familiarity with scripting languages like PERL, AWK to parse data logs and formatting.
