Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and resolve quality challenges by collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
- Assess supplier manufacturing practices, partnering with them on process enhancements and value-adding opportunities.
- Ensure all essential quality activities are thoroughly executed in conjunction with suppliers.
- Conduct failure analyses to pinpoint root causes and implement measures to enhance supply manufacturing quality.
- Monitor supplier performance and response times to guarantee production continuity.
- Evaluate suppliers, perform audits, and analyze supplier quality metrics.
- Manage supplier corrective action reports effectively.
- Compile reports to communicate the results of quality initiatives.
Essential Qualifications
- Over 10 years of experience in the electronic components sector.
- Advanced degree in material science, mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Strong technical problem-solving abilities, focused on identifying true root causes and validating corrective measures.
- Familiarity with the electronic component packaging manufacturing process.
- Comprehensive understanding of quality methodologies, Design of Experiments (DOEs), statistical process control, quality statistical sampling, and reliability methods.
- Experience with quality inspection, auditing, and testing techniques.
- Proven experience in transferring designs and developing packaging processes in overseas manufacturing sites.
- Demonstrated success in enhancing yield and manufacturing quality in supplier production lines.
- Data-driven and results-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Hands-on inclination, capable of performing device tear-downs and gathering diagnostic information using instrumentation.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively present to cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
- Willingness to travel for supplier engagements.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
