Key Responsibilities
  • New Product Development: Oversee the Phase Gate process for new products, ensuring compliance with quality and performance standards, conducting thorough testing, and managing risk assessments.
  • Process Development and Optimization: Execute Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify potential manufacturing failures, while implementing strategies to enhance productivity and product quality.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives aimed at process enhancement and Value Engineering, focusing on minimizing costs of poor quality (COPQ) and maximizing overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Project Management: Manage process improvement projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with cross-functional teams and timely delivery of results.
  • Workflow Design: Create and implement efficient workflows and workstations to optimize manufacturing operations.
  • Troubleshooting: Investigate product quality issues, analyze root causes, and coordinate corrective actions with relevant teams.
  • Data Analysis: Collect and interpret production and quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities, preparing detailed reports for stakeholders.
  • Training: Mentor teams on new processes and quality improvement methodologies, developing training materials and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications
  • Education: A degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant physical science is required.
  • Experience: 0 - 4 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in quality control principles and statistical analysis, with familiarity in software such as JMP, Minitab, or SAS being advantageous.
  • Personal Skills: A positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to effectively resolve complex issues are essential.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
  • Flexibility: Adaptability to a fast-paced environment and the ability to manage multiple priorities are crucial.
