Position Overview:

As a Senior Systems Engineering Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in guiding engineering teams through a comprehensive approach to requirements analysis, solution development, scheduling, reliability, and integration across various national and allied geospatial intelligence systems.

Core Duties:
  • Support government initiatives in directing requirements analysis, solution design, scheduling, and reliability across national and allied geospatial intelligence systems.
  • Engage in the planning and traceability of user requirements, assessing existing systems, and reviewing cloud service capabilities.
  • Provide expert advice on proposed modifications to solution designs based on thorough analysis of requirements and emerging technologies.
  • Assist in translating mission and customer needs into actionable systems and capability requirements.
  • Contribute to the analysis and allocation of requirements to system architecture components and executing programs.
  • Facilitate systems integration activities to ensure seamless operation.
  • Participate in Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Course of Actions (CoAs), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments.
  • Support strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, and risk management initiatives.
Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

Essential:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or related technical fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, or Computer Science, or 18 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • A minimum of 18 years of experience in government or industry, focusing on DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, or system engineering of complex systems.
  • Extensive experience in systems engineering within government or industry settings.
  • Possession of TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain it and pass a polygraph examination.
Preferred:
  • Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering processes, tools, and languages.
  • Knowledge of Software Development Frameworks.
  • INCOSE Associate System Engineering Professional (ASEP) certification.
  • Experience in geospatial intelligence.
  • Active participation in professional organizations such as ACSM, ASCE, ASPRS, OGC, SAREM, or USGIF.
  • Understanding of photogrammetry, remote sensing, and geographic information systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises.
