Position Overview

Role Summary:

As a Senior Systems Engineering Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in guiding engineering teams through a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approach to requirements analysis, solution design, scheduling, reliability, and system integration. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the effective delivery of geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) across various national and allied systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership in directing the engineering processes, including requirements analysis, solution development, and system integration across national and allied systems.
  • Facilitate the planning and traceability of user requirements, ensuring alignment with system architectures and operational procedures.
  • Advise on enhancements to solution designs based on thorough analysis of evolving requirements and emerging technologies.
  • Support the translation of mission objectives into actionable systems and capability requirements.
  • Contribute to the analysis and allocation of requirements to system architecture components and ongoing programs.
  • Engage in systems integration activities to ensure cohesive operation across platforms.
  • Conduct Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Course of Actions (CoAs), and Engineering Assessments to inform decision-making.
  • Assist in strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, and risk management initiatives.
Qualifications:

Required Skills and Experience:
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or a related technical field, or 18 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • A minimum of 18 years of experience in government or industry, particularly in areas such as DoD/IC Acquisition, Requirements Process, and system engineering of complex systems.
  • Proven experience in systems engineering within government or industry contexts.
  • Possession of a TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain one, including passing a polygraph examination.
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering methodologies and tools.
  • Knowledge of Software Development Frameworks.
  • INCOSE Associate System Engineering Professional (ASEP) certification.
  • Experience in geospatial intelligence.
  • Active participation in professional organizations related to systems engineering and geospatial intelligence.
  • Understanding of photogrammetry, remote sensing, and geographic information systems.
  • Insight into the current operations of the NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises.
