POSITION OVERVIEW:


The Asset and Equipment Operations Manager reports directly to the (Senior) Director of Programs or Executive Director, overseeing the effective maintenance and functionality of all organizational assets and equipment.

This role is crucial in helping reduce barriers to self-sufficiency for our team members by utilizing strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills while managing staff, workflows, and priorities across various projects and communities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. **Asset and Equipment Maintenance**: Develop and manage the maintenance of organizational assets and equipment for current and future programs.
2. **Communication and Response**: Serve as the primary contact for any asset or equipment issues, aiming to minimize costs and maintain operational efficiency.
3. **Vendor Relations**: Establish and manage relationships with service providers for maintenance, cleaning, and repairs of assets and equipment.
4. **Lifecycle Management**: Oversee the entire lifecycle of assets from acquisition to disposal, ensuring timely upgrades or refurbishments.

5. **Inventory Management**: Create and maintain inventory systems for programmatic equipment and company assets; identify cost-effective solutions for purchasing supplies and managing maintenance expenses.
6. **Documentation and Compliance**: Maintain accurate records of warranties, licenses, inspections, and service agreements for various equipment related to our programs.

7. **Administrative Participation**: Engage in organizational meetings and contribute to training and emergency response planning as needed.
8. **Sustainability Practices**: Implement strategies that promote sustainability and minimize the environmental impact of our facilities and assets.

9. **Safety Protocols**: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and risk management practices to enhance workplace safety and reduce injuries.

QUALIFICATIONS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the essential duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Proficiency in using various tools and equipment is essential.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Moderate noise levels typical of an open office and outdoor settings.

Employees must be prepared to work in varying weather conditions, adhering to safety measures for comfort and protection.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities or maintenance management.
Proficiency in Spanish is advantageous.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; adept at managing priorities and workflows.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Local travel may be necessary.
Evening and weekend work may be required for events and programs.
