Role Overview:

The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in providing analytical and operational support throughout the lifecycle of solar projects. This position involves comprehensive transaction analysis, contract oversight, portfolio reporting, performance evaluation, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the financial and operational management of a diverse portfolio of active solar projects, with potential future engagement in storage and electric vehicle charging assets.
  • Enhance financial and operational performance metrics to maximize asset value.
  • Collaborate with energy offtakers to optimize revenue distribution from operating assets.
  • Manage ongoing operations and maintenance (O&M) relationships and warranty agreements for projects.
  • Drive initiatives aimed at improving asset performance and operational efficiency.
  • Develop structured processes and reporting frameworks to support the management of operating assets, including the preparation of performance summary reports for stakeholders.
  • Generate detailed reporting on project, fund, and fleet performance on a regular basis.
  • Identify and communicate solutions to complex operational challenges, while collaborating with team members to derive lessons learned for future projects.
  • Assist in the formulation and coordination of project budgets, financial models, and contract modifications.
  • Ensure that the portfolio meets or exceeds expected production levels by reviewing performance reports and working with O&M providers to address issues.
  • Compile and analyze financial statements in collaboration with accounting and finance teams.
  • Support the selection and negotiation of contracts with third-party service providers.
  • Investigate innovative technologies and partnerships to enhance fleet performance.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in asset management, business operations, contract negotiation, or related roles within the Solar PV or Renewable Energy sector.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in analyzing financial reports and familiarity with standard solar project agreements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable in an entrepreneurial setting, with a passion for advancing the renewable energy industry.
  • Ability to analyze solar asset performance data and recommend improvements in processes, equipment, and reporting.
  • A proactive problem solver focused on continuous process enhancement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
