Job Overview


Under the general supervision of the Accounting Manager, the Technology Asset & Materials Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the management of materials related to technology initiatives. This includes the planning, procurement, receipt, storage, and distribution of various telecommunications and information technology supplies and equipment across multiple warehouse and storeroom locations.

This role also involves contributing to the formulation and revision of departmental policies and procedures regarding inventory and asset management. The coordinator will implement and maintain a comprehensive computerized inventory control system and asset management solutions.

Key Responsibilities


- Plan, assign, supervise, and evaluate the work of subordinate staff involved in maintaining inventory records, determining material needs, and preparing purchase requisitions and delivery orders.


- Collaborate with section or division managers to discuss material support operations and recommend necessary adjustments to inventory and storage.


- Engage with departmental users and vendor representatives to address service quality, product durability, and purchasing feasibility; develop systems to keep users informed about order statuses and resolve any issues.


- Participate in product evaluation activities, including compiling statistical data and drafting specifications for items or services.


- Assess inventory levels and reorder points by analyzing utilization statistics; advise management on significant transactions and trends, and recommend adjustments to inventory targets as needed.


- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies in line with purchasing and storeroom regulations; create internal distribution systems and security policies while regularly reviewing existing procedures.


- Select and evaluate subordinate personnel; manage time sheet records and provide recommendations regarding employee performance and training needs.

Project Focus
Implement and enhance an asset management system and workflows utilizing ServiceNow or similar software tools. This includes upgrading the system for tracking and managing technology assets such as servers, desktops, laptops, telephones, tablets, and other equipment.Employment Type


This is a Permanent Exempt - Full Time position, not subject to the competitive civil service examination process.

Work Requirements


The incumbent must be prepared to work a 40-hour week as determined by departmental needs. Travel within the designated area may be necessary.

Qualifications


Education: A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in computer science, public administration, economics, industrial engineering, or a related field.


Experience: A minimum of three years of verifiable experience in technical support operations and management of a sophisticated computerized inventory management system, with at least two years in a supervisory capacity.


License and Certification: A valid driver's license may be required.
