Role Overview: Under the general supervision of the Accounting Manager, the Technology Asset Management Specialist will oversee and coordinate the management of technology-related materials. This includes planning, ordering, receiving, storing, and distributing a variety of telecom and IT supplies across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and evaluate the work of staff involved in maintaining inventory records and managing material requirements.
  • Collaborate with division managers to optimize material support operations and adjust inventory levels as necessary.
  • Engage with departmental users and vendors to ensure product quality and resolve any issues related to orders.
  • Participate in product evaluations and prepare necessary documentation for major supply contracts.
  • Analyze inventory levels and trends, advising management on significant changes and planning for annual inventories.
  • Contribute to the development of departmental policies and internal distribution systems.
  • Manage personnel matters, including performance evaluations and training needs assessments.
  • Lead projects aimed at enhancing asset management systems, particularly within ServiceNow or similar platforms.

Work Environment: This position requires a commitment to a 40-hour work week, with potential travel within the city as needed. Candidates must be residents of California or willing to relocate.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, public administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in technical support and inventory management, with at least two years in a supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in asset management systems and inventory control practices.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.
