Position Overview: Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic professional to enhance our asset management division focused on water and wastewater infrastructure initiatives. This role involves overseeing and delivering asset management consulting services across diverse projects within the water sector, while also contributing to strategic business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as Task Lead or Project Manager for various Asset Management (AM) projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Support the asset management team in crafting comprehensive asset management plans.
  • Take full technical ownership of tasks, including data analysis and the preparation of technical reports outlining findings and recommendations.
  • Coordinate and participate in Level 1 (Visual) Field Condition Assessments.
  • Engage in strategic planning and execution for business development.
  • Contribute to the development of proposals.
  • Maintain client relations as necessary.
  • Assist in the evaluation and negotiation of new contracts.
  • Enhance and expand asset management expertise.
  • Promote Hazen's asset management capabilities through participation in industry events and internal initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate asset management principles into engineering projects beyond traditional asset management.
  • Mentor junior staff to support their professional development and career aspirations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database development.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
  • Able to work collaboratively or independently as required.
  • Willingness to travel regionally.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Experience in project management and client relations.
  • Background in proposal development and public speaking.
  • Skills in geospatial analysis using GIS (ArcMap).
  • Experience in data mining or statistical analysis.
  • Familiarity with comparative economic evaluations.
