About the Role

Renewable Properties is seeking a highly skilled Asset Manager to join our team and play a critical role in the financing and asset management of our solar projects across the United States.

The successful candidate will provide analytical and process support throughout the solar project life cycle, from transaction analysis to portfolio level reporting and performance analysis. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of Renewable Properties in the renewable energy industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Asset Management: Own the asset management, both from a financial and operational perspective, of a portfolio of operating solar projects, with future opportunities to work with storage and EV charging assets.
  • Financial and Operational Metrics: Drive improvements in financial and operational metrics to maximize the value of operating assets.
  • Energy Off-taker Interface: Interface with energy offtakers to optimize distribution of operating revenues.
  • O&M and Warranty Management: Manage the ongoing O&M and warranty relationships for projects.
  • Asset Performance Optimization: Optimize asset performance and drive performance improvement initiatives.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Build process, structure, and work products to support management and reporting of operating assets, including preparation of operating performance summary reports for financing parties.
  • Complex Issue Resolution: Identify, own, and communicate solutions to complex operational issues, and work with team members to identify lessons learned and improve future projects.
  • Project Budgeting and Contract Management: Assist in developing and coordinating project budgets, models, P&L, and contract amendments.
  • Portfolio Performance Monitoring: Ensure portfolio is performing at or above forecasted production, reviewing performance reports and working with O&M providers to investigate issues and initiatives to improve performance.
  • Financial Statement Compilation: Compile financial statements/info and work with accounting/finance.
  • Third-Party Service Provider Selection: Support selection of third-party service providers and negotiation of contracts.
  • Fleet Performance Improvement: Research ways to improve fleet performance by utilizing new technologies, initiatives, and partnerships.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in asset management, business management, contract negotiations and management, or operations roles, in Solar PV or Renewable Energy industry.
  • Strong attention to detail, pride in work product, communication and organization skills.
  • Experience in reviewing financial reports and providing detailed analysis, familiarity with industry-accepted solar project agreements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Driven, resourceful and comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment, with curiosity and passion for driving the renewable industry forward.
  • Ability to dive into solar asset performance data and provide process, equipment, reporting, and management improvements.
  • Problem solver that is driven towards process improvement.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
