Job Overview

Under the general supervision of the Accounting Manager, the Technology Asset Management Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the materials management functions associated with technology initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to, the planning, procurement, receipt, storage, and distribution of a diverse range of telecommunications and information technology supplies and equipment across various warehouse and storeroom locations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Plan, assign, supervise, and evaluate the work of staff involved in maintaining inventory records, determining material needs, and processing purchase requisitions and accounts payable documents.
  2. Engage with section or division managers to discuss material support operations and adjust inventory levels and storage practices as necessary.
  3. Collaborate with departmental users and vendor representatives to address service quality, product durability, and purchasing feasibility.
  4. Participate in product evaluation processes and may prepare specifications for items or services.
  5. Analyze inventory levels and usage statistics to recommend changes and manage annual inventory processes.
  6. Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with purchasing and storage regulations.
  7. Select and assess subordinate personnel, manage performance documentation, and identify training needs.

Project Focus
Implement and enhance asset management systems and workflows using software tools. The role includes upgrading systems for tracking and managing technology assets, such as servers, desktops, laptops, and communication devices.

Job Type
This is a permanent exempt full-time position, serving at the discretion of the appointment officer.

Work Environment
The majority of work will be conducted within the Department of Technology, with potential assignments at various locations as required.

Qualifications

Education: A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in fields such as computer science, public administration, or industrial engineering.

Experience: A minimum of three years of verifiable experience in technical support operations and management of computerized inventory systems, with at least two years in a supervisory capacity.

Additional Requirements: Candidates must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Compensation: Competitive annual salary range based on experience.
