Position Overview: Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic professional to contribute to our expanding asset management division, focusing on water and wastewater infrastructure initiatives. This role involves overseeing and executing asset management consulting services across diverse assets within the water and wastewater sector, while also supporting strategic business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as Task Lead or Project Manager for asset management projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborate with the asset management team to formulate comprehensive asset management plans.
  • Take full technical responsibility for analyzing data, organizing tasks, and coordinating efforts on projects of varying scales, including the preparation of technical reports and recommendations.
  • Assist in conducting Level 1 (Visual) Field Condition Assessments.
  • Engage in strategic planning and execution for business development.
  • Contribute to the development of proposals.
  • Maintain client relations as necessary.
  • Support the review and negotiation processes for new contracts.
  • Enhance and expand asset management expertise.
  • Promote Hazen's asset management capabilities through participation in industry events and internal initiatives.
  • Identify and implement asset management principles in engineering projects beyond the traditional scope.
  • Mentor junior staff to assist them in achieving their professional aspirations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field in data analytics.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database development.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively or independently as required.
  • Willingness to travel regionally.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree.
  • Professional Engineer license.
  • Experience in project management and client relations.
  • Background in proposal development and public speaking.
  • Skills in geospatial analysis using GIS (ArcMap).
  • Experience in data mining or statistical analysis.
  • Familiarity with comparative economic evaluations.
