About the Role
The Production Manager will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this individual will provide guidance and support to the production leadership team and coordinate operations to meet production targets and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Provide guidance and support to the production leadership team to ensure effective coordination of operations.
- Production Planning**: Plan production operations, establish priorities, and sequences for manufacturing products by reviewing daily reports and establishing goals.
- Financial Management**: Responsible for product line P&L, including profit margin goals and process improvements.
- Team Management**: Inspire and coach salaried management team and hourly team members to achieve outstanding results.
- Employee Development**: Identify and develop future leadership and improve/support overall bench strength.
- Conflict Resolution**: Resolve employee complaints, conduct investigations, and issue coaching or discipline in accordance with company policy.
Requirements
- Education**: Bachelor's degree in business management, engineering, or related field.
- Experience**: 7+ years of leadership experience, preferably in a large manufacturing facility. Experience in food equipment is an asset.
- Skills**: Strong financial acumen, project management, detail-oriented, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Communication**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver presentations.
- Interpersonal**: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts and build a positive team culture.
