A TYPICAL DAY:

This is a field-based role responsible for managing a designated territory.

You will play a crucial role in promoting Tandem Diabetes products and services in collaboration with a Clinical Diabetes Sales Specialist to strategize and achieve sales objectives.

Your responsibilities will include identifying potential clients, building and nurturing business relationships to facilitate the sales of Tandem Diabetes' offerings, while adhering to established policies. Utilize your industry sales acumen to provide account support and ongoing education to patients, healthcare providers, and their Clinical Educators regarding the technical aspects of insulin pump therapy and relevant market considerations.

YOUR STRENGTHS:
  • Achieving or surpassing territory sales targets as set by management.
  • Utilizing available resources creatively to identify sales leads and gather necessary information.
  • Communicating professionally with healthcare professionals to encourage recommendations for Tandem products/services.
  • Creating value for healthcare professionals by highlighting the unique benefits of Tandem Diabetes Care products and services.
  • Educating prospects/customers on industry trends, digital solutions, Tandem products, and health management issues.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong professional relationships with healthcare professionals to support sales efforts.
  • Effectively promoting Tandem's distinctive market position and competitive advantages.
  • Leading strategic business planning for the assigned territory.
  • Providing product/service information directly to consumers through health fairs and promotional events.
  • Participating in corporate sales training, meetings, and industry conventions.
  • Maintaining accurate records in the customer relationship management software (CRM) for all business interactions.
  • Collaborating with Customer Sales Support Specialists to address pre and post-sales inquiries.
  • Ensuring all company property and materials are maintained according to company policies.
  • Developing a territory call cycle that maximizes customer engagement.
  • Preparing sales reports as requested by Sales Management.
  • Managing expenses in accordance with corporate guidelines and submitting reports promptly.
  • Completing required training before taking on job responsibilities.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA and other legal requirements.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of sales experience in related fields such as diabetes, endocrinology, or managed care.
  • Ability to connect effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Proven communication skills to resolve customer inquiries according to company standards.
  • Ability to assert ideas and persuade others through effective presentation of information.
  • Skilled in fostering teamwork and commitment to collective success.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced, evolving market environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM software.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory and work from a remote home office.
  • Compliance with health system requirements, including potential vaccination mandates.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

The starting base salary for this position ranges from $85,000 to $100,000 annually, plus incentive compensation based on performance. The base salary may vary based on experience and location. In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonuses, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package, including health care options, paid time off, and a 401k plan with company matching.
