Job Purpose

The primary objective of this role is to drive demand and secure product placement with targeted builders and contractors to meet sales growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Establish product placement with key builders in your designated territory.
  • Build and maintain relationships with installation contractors and building inspectors.
  • Execute sales initiatives to generate new business opportunities.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of builder pricing and installation costs.
  • Conduct seminars on product knowledge and installation for builders and contractors.
  • Participate in regional builder exhibitions.
  • Identify and target builders and contractors to prospect for new clients.
  • Focus efforts on specific Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSAs) with a limited number of builders for concentrated outreach.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines in the execution of duties.
  • Foster relationships with decision-makers at store and regional levels to facilitate product sales and access to key end-use customers.
  • Oversee and evaluate all service agency activities.
  • Support the introduction of new products by ensuring they are available for sale and that store personnel are trained on their features and benefits.
  • Provide training at the store level as required by retail customers, including training service agency representatives to conduct product knowledge seminars.
  • Organize and attend contractor training events, including breakfasts, luncheons, and regional sales presentations.
  • Conduct inventory reviews to ensure stock levels are accurate and sufficient.
  • Manage the initial merchandising of new products and line extensions at retail locations.
  • Perform assessments of new stores to ensure optimal product placement and assortment.
  • Drive sales of LP products in home centers by generating demand and monitoring product assortments.
  • Ensure accurate recording and reporting of field sales activities, expense reports, and special projects.
  • Monitor store activities and trends, collaborating with National Account Managers to set and implement key objectives.
  • Collect data and pricing information as needed.

Education

A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.

Work Environment

This position is primarily home-based with frequent travel requirements.
