Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Administrative Coordinator to join our team in a specialist office setting. This role is essential for ensuring smooth operations and providing exceptional service to our patients.

Key Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a medical office environment.
  • Specialty Office Experience: Previous experience in a specialized medical practice is preferred.
  • Scheduling Skills: Proficient in managing appointment schedules.
  • Patient Interaction: Responsible for checking patients in and out efficiently.
  • Financial Transactions: Experience in collecting and processing co-pays.
  • Insurance Verification: Ability to verify patient insurance coverage.
  • EMR Proficiency: Strong experience with Electronic Medical Records, with a preference for Athena.
  • Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient satisfaction.
  • Record Management: Capable of scanning and entering medical records into EMR systems.
Responsibilities:
  • Welcome patients and ensure a positive experience.
  • Gather and verify insurance details from patients.
  • Efficiently manage patient check-in and check-out processes.
  • Collect co-payments and ensure accurate financial transactions.
  • Assist patients in completing necessary forms.
  • Coordinate and schedule patient appointments.
  • Maintain and update patient information in the EMR system.
  • Scan and upload medical records into the EMR system.
