Responsibilities:

  • Secure authorization from payers for requested services in a timely manner.
  • Document authorization details, including effective dates, using the appropriate systems.
  • Facilitate additional pre-certifications as necessary and communicate with agencies for private insurance referrals.
  • Act as a liaison between branch locations and payers regularly.
  • Update branch locations on any changes or updates from payers promptly.
  • Access authorizations through various communication methods efficiently.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns respectfully and expediently.
  • Independently resolve issues before escalating to supervisors.
  • Perform eligibility checks and related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Medical Administration or Customer Service.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience with EMR systems is preferred.
