REQUIREMENTS:
Proven experience as a Medical Assistant
Certification or Diploma in Medical Assisting (Preferred)
Experience in Primary or Urgent Care Settings (Preferred)
Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Proficient in Blood Draws, Injections, and EKG Procedures
Current CPR Certification

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct initial assessments of patients
Record patient medical history in EMR systems
Perform vital signs checks, EKGs, phlebotomy, and administer injections
Assist healthcare providers in examination rooms
Provide instructions to patients as directed by healthcare professionals
Ensure all necessary reports, lab results, and patient information are available prior to appointments
Maintain exam rooms with adequate medical supplies and prepare instruments for sterilization as needed
Handle telephone communications and respond to inquiries from patients, physicians, and pharmacies
Keep accurate logs and perform required checks (e.g., refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen levels, cold sterilization fluid changes, etc.)
Fulfill additional duties as assigned by the clinical coordinator or practice administrator.
