Alpha Public Schools emerged from the aspirations of families in East San José seeking enhanced academic opportunities and support for their children. We are a free, TK-12 public charter school network committed to shaping the future leaders of East San José.
Our network comprises four public charter schools dedicated to ensuring that students from TK through 12th grade are well-prepared for their academic and professional journeys.
About Us:
Alpha Public Schools operates four schools serving approximately 1,900 scholars in East San José. We believe that every student deserves a place in college, and we create safe, inclusive, and student-focused learning environments that foster growth. Our foundation is rooted in community; Alpha was established by a group of mothers from the east side of San José who sought better educational pathways for their children. We prioritize strong community ties and engage families in a collaborative approach to provide a comprehensive education.

The hourly compensation for this position is $27.50.
Responsibilities of the Alpha Campus Operations Coordinator:
Your role will include...
- Supporting school-wide systems and expectations for students and staff:
- Maintain a safe and orderly environment in non-classroom areas, including the parking lot and grounds.
- Assist school leaders with restorative justice practices, including circles and conflict resolution.
- Executing daily responsibilities of the Campus Operations Coordinator:
- Manage DeansList administration and handle low incident referrals as necessary.
- Oversee restroom monitoring throughout the day.
- Assist with lunch supervision and manage lunch detention.
- Facilitate smooth student traffic flow in hallways, aiding timely arrivals to classes and assigned locations during transitions.
- Support after-school student needs and coordinate weekly events.
- Assisting school leaders and staff in maintaining a healthy and safe environment:
- Monitor campus safety by managing access to buildings and responding to behavior support needs.
- Assist with visitor management, attendance tracking, and emergency protocols as required.
- Collaborate with staff, law enforcement, and emergency personnel during emergencies or disruptions, alerting services when necessary.
- Document and submit incident reports to school leadership as appropriate.

- High school diploma or GED required.
- CPR and First Aid Certification preferred.
- Fluency in Spanish preferred.
- 3+ years of relevant experience.
