Front Office Coordinator

Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients upon their arrival at the reception area.
- Manage incoming calls, relay messages, and direct inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
- Coordinate and adjust patient appointments in accordance with established protocols.
- Retrieve and manage messages from voicemail systems.
- Prepare digital records for upcoming appointments.
- Organize and maintain electronic medical records.
- Verify patient demographic details in line with standard procedures.
- Ensure collection of necessary HIPAA forms and other documentation.
- Gather current insurance details from patients.
- Process co-payments and outstanding balances.
- Inform nursing staff of any last-minute scheduling changes.
- Monitor the waiting area to ensure all patients are attended to.
- Update patient records for billing and charting purposes.
- Reconcile cash and charge transactions at the close of business.
- Distribute mammography correspondence.
- File scanned medical documents accurately.
- Handle incoming and outgoing faxes electronically.
- Safeguard confidential information through proper disposal methods.

Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
