Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  1. Patient Scheduling and Registration
  • Monitor patient schedules to ensure optimal use of clinic resources
  • Schedule patient appointments accurately and proactively identify and correct any errors
  • Communicate with patients to fill scheduling gaps and offer resources to overcome barriers to care
Revenue Cycle Management
  • Complete accurate patient registration and collect payments at the time of service
  • Manage cash boxes and ensure accurate financial transactions
  • Refer patients to Health Benefit Specialists as needed
  • Scan and index patient documentation into electronic health records
Customer Service and Communication
  • Provide prompt and friendly service to patients, visitors, and internal customers
  • Accurately document messages and communicate with staff members
  • Maintain a clean and tidy reception area and waiting room
Internal and External Referrals
  • Complete assigned referrals and ensure timely follow-up
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience in a healthcare environment or two years in a customer service role
  • Excellent customer service skills and effective communication skills
  • Ability to think critically and resolve problems effectively
  • Initiative, dependability, and ability to work as part of a team
  • Basic math skills and ability to count money and make change
  • Accurate and efficient typing skills and ability to perform basic computer functions
