POSITION SUMMARY:
We are in search of a driven and seasoned Public Sector Marketing Manager with a robust expertise in event strategy formulation and execution. This pivotal role is essential for enhancing our brand visibility within the public sector, particularly through the meticulous planning and implementation of premier events. The ideal candidate will be tasked with crafting and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that amplify our brand presence, engage our target demographic, and align with our business goals in the public sector.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Event Strategy Formulation:
    • Direct the creation of a strategic event roadmap that aligns with the business objectives for the public sector.
    • Identify significant industry events, conferences, and opportunities for sponsorship, collaboration, and speaking roles.
    • Develop and oversee an annual event schedule, ensuring coherence with broader marketing initiatives and objectives.
  • Event Coordination & Execution:
    • Organize, coordinate, and execute events, including conferences, webinars, workshops, and trade exhibitions.
    • Manage all facets of event logistics, encompassing venue selection, vendor coordination, budgeting, and on-site management.
    • Design and implement pre- and post-event marketing strategies to optimize event return on investment.
    • Guarantee events are conducted punctually, within budget, and provide a superior experience for participants.
  • Audience Engagement:
    • Create targeted messaging and content that resonates with public sector stakeholders.
    • Utilize digital marketing tools to promote events and engage participants before, during, and after the events.
    • Collaborate with the content team to develop event-specific materials, including presentations, whitepapers, and case studies.
  • Performance Evaluation:
    • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of event strategies and campaigns.
    • Provide insights and recommendations for future event planning and marketing efforts based on analytical results.
    • Prepare post-event reports, highlighting key metrics, achievements, and areas for enhancement.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
    • Collaborate closely with sales and partner teams to ensure unified messaging and strategic alignment.
    • Engage with external partners, including agencies, vendors, and industry organizations, to boost event success.
    • Manage relationships with government and public sector stakeholders to ensure events comply with regulatory and compliance standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or marketing.
  • 3-5 years of marketing experience, with at least 1-2 years in B2G.
  • Relevant industry experience is a considerable advantage.
