Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will spearhead strategic, integrated marketing communications initiatives for two of M.C. Dean's rapidly expanding divisions. Reporting directly to the senior vice presidents of the Strategic Business Unit and the chief marketing officer, the strategist will be instrumental in:

Driving Marketing Initiatives: Formulate and execute targeted marketing strategies aimed at supporting new business acquisition and establishing long-term market positioning. Collaborate with SBU leadership to analyze market segmentation, identify pipeline opportunities, and prioritize growth initiatives.

Sales Support: Create and sustain marketing and sales resources to facilitate customer growth and attract talent for your strategic business units:

  • Craft print, digital, and multimedia marketing collateral.
  • Organize both virtual and in-person events, including client and recruitment-focused trade shows.
  • Guide new business presentations and customer demonstrations from inception to execution, providing coaching on best practices for both virtual and in-person engagements.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to pinpoint opportunities early in the business development process.
  • Develop and promote an annual awards and recognition program for the division.
  • Maintain and manage a comprehensive calendar for conferences, events, and speaking engagements, ensuring successful placement of leadership for participation.
  • Assist in marketing initiatives aimed at division-specific recruitment efforts.

Corporate Marketing, Branding & Communications: Ensure alignment between division-specific strategic objectives and corporate marketing, branding, and communication channels to enhance customer development and employee engagement.

  • Coach division teams for participation in corporate-sponsored events and conferences, maximizing client engagement.
  • Generate new web content to showcase the division as part of the overarching M.C. Dean brand narrative.
  • Maintain a monthly editorial calendar highlighting achievements, project milestones, and key personnel acknowledgments aligned with strategic goals.
  • Identify and establish partnership marketing initiatives, including managing a roster of OEM partners and certifications.
  • Act as the brand steward for the division, ensuring brand management and alignment with M.C. Dean's standards and resources.
  • Lead and support corporate-wide initiatives, collaborating with department leadership to enhance M.C. Dean's marketing capabilities across functions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in marketing and communications.
  • Proven ability to work with complex technical content and tailor it for diverse audiences.
  • Experience in professional services, technology, federal contracting, or AEC firms; EPC industry experience is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated success in leading results-oriented marketing campaigns and client engagement initiatives.
  • Experience managing integrated campaigns as either an external consultant or in-house professional.
  • Proven track record in organizing marketing and employee events, site tours, and demonstrations.
  • Exceptional written communication skills with a strong command of AP Style guidelines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint and website content management systems.
  • Experience with web analytics and social media distribution tools.
  • A collaborative team player with a willingness to support colleagues.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and to creatively solve problems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Analytical skills with research experience.
  • Ability to engage with all levels of management.
