Position Summary: We are seeking a proficient Federal Account Manager to enhance our engagement with clients and prospects. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in managing relationships with federal and state agencies. Responsibilities may vary based on the specific federal/state clients, but key duties include:


Key Responsibilities:
  • Relationship Development: Cultivating and sustaining robust relationships with federal clients is essential. This entails regular communication, understanding client needs, and striving to fulfill those needs.
  • Opportunity Identification: The Federal Account Manager must have a comprehensive understanding of the company's offerings and how they can serve federal clients effectively. Identifying new avenues for delivering value is crucial.
  • Account Planning: The Account Manager will devise strategic account plans aimed at fostering growth and retention of business with federal clients. This includes formulating and implementing sales strategies, managing budgets, and establishing key performance indicators.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Ensuring exceptional service for clients is a priority. This involves timely responses to inquiries, addressing concerns, and managing client expectations.
  • Internal Coordination: The Federal Account Manager will collaborate closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to guarantee optimal solutions for federal clients.
  • Contract Negotiation: Responsibilities include negotiating contracts with federal clients, covering pricing and service terms, including both Fixed Bid and Staff Augmentation agreements.
  • Industry Awareness: Staying informed about industry trends and governmental regulatory changes that may affect client relationships is essential.
  • Administrative Management: The Federal Account Manager will oversee administrative responsibilities such as tracking client interactions, maintaining records, and reporting on key performance metrics.

Additional Support Tasks:
  • Assist with events, including company-hosted gatherings, client events, and conferences.
  • Conduct market analysis to gauge demand and understand the competitive landscape within government agencies.
  • Manage departmental budgets and expenditures effectively.
  • Oversee departmental operations, including team leadership and mentorship.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management, focusing on measurable outcomes and return on investment.
