About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Representative to join our team at Great Expressions Dental Centers. As a Patient Services Representative, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient experiences through timely, accurate, and professional follow-up and resolution to patient complaints, problems, issues, and general inquiries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Document and Report: Provides detailed documentation and reports of customer complaints, issues, interactions, actions taken, and results in appropriate systems.
  • Issue Resolution: Independently resolves or escalates issues affecting patient complaints and issues to the Patient Services Team Lead and Supervisor.
  • Patient Support: Assists patients in responding to complaints, problems, and general inquiries in a timely, responsive, and efficient manner.
  • Clinical Issue Resolution: Facilitates the resolution of patient clinical issues with the Patient Services Manager.
  • Communication and Follow-up: Performs communication and follow-up processes related to customer service and ensures such activities are submitted timely, tracked, trended, and reported to key stakeholders.
  • Trend Analysis: Tracks trends of patient service encounters and recommendations for resolutions of the issues and findings for the Team Lead and Supervisor.
  • Service Knowledge: Maintains an understanding of services provided by providers in each area.
  • Additional Duties: Performs other duties as needed and assigned by the Manager.
Requirements

  • Compliance and Regulations: Maintain a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Great Expressions Compliance Program and Code of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.
  • Technical Skills: Efficiently type, talk, and navigate multiple healthcare platforms and reference material at the same time to assist the patient in a timely manner.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Organizational and Time Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Experience and Proficiency: Previous dental or medical billing experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
