Key Responsibilities

Deliver the highest standard of customer service while conducting patient check-ins, providing status updates, answering phone inquiries, and more.

Conduct interviews with patients or their representatives to gather and document essential information such as name, address, age, religion, emergency contacts, attending physician, and the responsible party for billing.

Ensure accuracy by verifying, updating, and scanning both new and returning patient data.
Manage tracking within the Electronic Medical Record system while collecting co-pays and ensuring all necessary forms are completed.

Facilitate the patient check-out process, which includes collecting any outstanding balances, providing patients with relevant correspondence, and scheduling follow-up appointments.

Input patient admission details into the computer system. Collect co-pays and/or payments on accounts.
Maintain a positive attitude when interacting with patients, colleagues, supervisors, and physicians, particularly when receiving feedback or guidance.
Stay informed and comply with all applicable state and federal regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and FLSA.
Uphold the highest level of confidentiality.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service is necessary.
Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
