Key Responsibilities

The Med Surg Registered Nurse will:

  • Lead and facilitate the delivery of professional nursing care, ensuring patient comfort and well-being.
  • Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Delegate, supervise, and document care provided to patients and their families.
  • Implement prescribed medical interventions effectively.

Qualifications Required

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN program with completion within five years of hire. Exemptions may apply for experienced RNs.
  • Licensure: Current registered nurse licensure with the appropriate nursing board.
  • Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
  • Preferred: National certification in a nursing specialty and at least one year of hospital nursing experience.
