Role Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a PRN Surgical Nurse, you will lead the delivery of professional nursing care, ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients. You will utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and education.

Key qualifications include:

  • Preferred Experience: At least one year of nursing experience in a hospital setting.
  • Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN program with completion within five years of hire. Exemptions may apply based on experience.
  • Required Licensure: Current registered nurse licensure with the appropriate nursing board.
  • Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
