Housing Selection Specialist

Position Overview

As a Housing Selection Specialist at Wavecrest Management, your primary role will involve overseeing the initial leasing and re-leasing processes for residential units to interested applicants. We are looking for a detail-oriented, reliable, and professional candidate who can efficiently manage multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to inquiries and provide assistance to tenants
  • Conduct Initial Tenant Income Certifications
  • Evaluate potential tenants for eligibility through interviews
  • Assess housing applications and verify income documentation
  • Submit housing applications to relevant regulatory bodies
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations through follow-ups
  • Support the leasing process and facilitate tenant move-ins
  • Handle Section 8 documentation
  • Organize and conduct interviews
  • Maintain reports and analyze relevant data
  • Ensure prompt responses to correspondence
  • Organize and maintain files
  • Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with some college education preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience in LIHTC rental or mortgage processing is advantageous
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Ability to manage deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong commitment to work ethics
