Your Role as an Area Vice President:

The Area Vice President (AVP) for Acadia Healthcare's CTC division will be responsible for overseeing the operational, financial, and clinical outcomes of CTC facilities within their assigned region. This role encompasses management of a substantial multi-site and multi-state profit and loss statement, focusing on both internal and external operations. Key responsibilities include enhancing financial performance, boosting patient enrollment, ensuring clinical excellence, and spearheading site and service line expansions along with strategic initiatives. The AVP will ensure effective internal processes and communication, positioning the organization for ongoing success. Collaboration with direct reports, other CTC AVPs, and the CTC Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be essential to execute strategic initiatives, optimize facility operations, and provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement a regional growth strategy aimed at achieving top-tier business, financial, and patient outcomes.
  • Provide insights and feedback from facilities to inform broader CTC strategies and operational plans.
  • Oversee daily operations of CTC facilities and Regional Directors (RDs) within the region, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Guarantee the consistent delivery of superior patient care across all facilities. Develop a deep understanding of local markets and competitive landscapes to enhance patient access to treatment at Acadia clinics.
  • Identify, assess, and execute growth opportunities, including launching new sites and mergers & acquisitions; lead the integration of these sites to achieve operational breakeven within specified timeframes.
  • Drive regional financial performance by monitoring essential metrics such as patient census, revenue, and EBITDA.
  • Collaborate with RDs and Clinic Directors (CDs) to create and manage budgets, ensuring operations remain within financial parameters.
  • Build relationships and strategic partnerships within the region and communities to support growth and development.
  • Establish connections with Acadia functional groups and leaders to ensure that personnel, systems, and processes are in place for effective regional scaling.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team of RDs and CDs. Foster a positive work culture that encourages teamwork, accountability, empowerment, and continuous improvement.
  • Set operational benchmarks, timelines, and resources required to achieve strategic objectives; proactively recommend and implement improvements as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or graduate degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in a general management capacity, ideally within a rapidly evolving organization.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment; a proactive individual who drives towards clarity and solutions.
  • A proven track record in prioritizing, shaping processes, investing in personnel and systems, and developing an infrastructure that enhances organizational efficiency.
  • Strong understanding of project management; capable of working effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines and objectives.
  • A collaborative team player with a flexible and innovative mindset.
  • Exceptional communication and coalition-building skills, with the ability to balance, negotiate, and engage with various internal and external stakeholders; extensive knowledge in program replication, connecting programs to funding, creatively generating resources, and establishing strategic partnerships.
