Position Overview

The YMCA of San Francisco is currently looking for a Community Programs Manager to oversee initiatives and programs at a local elementary school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of community programs that align with our mission.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with staff, community members, and partner organizations.
  • Supervise and mentor program staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Assess community needs to ensure a comprehensive range of services is offered.
  • Work closely with school leadership to implement the community school framework.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in community leadership.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience in program management.
  • Availability during and after school hours, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Proven supervisory experience and a strong understanding of youth development best practices.
  • Ability to engage with diverse populations and foster an inclusive environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field with at least one year of program administration experience.
  • Bilingual abilities in Spanish or Chinese are a plus.
  • Familiarity with community school frameworks.
