Job Summary

The Summer 2025 Offshore Operations Development Program will provide a unique opportunity for a student to gain hands-on experience in an offshore environment. As a member of our team, you will be assigned to a rig for a period of time to work alongside experienced professionals and learn about various positions (Roustabout and/or Floorhand) in an offshore setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Ensure that all decks, equipment, and work areas are clean and organized.
  • Supply Chain Management: Off-load supplies from boats and move them to storage areas.
  • Load Safety: Check loads for proper slinging, lift clearance, obstructions in movement, balance, etc.
  • Barrier Installation: Ensure that barriers are appropriately in place prior to lifting operations.
  • Cargo Management: Work to ensure that all decks and other cargo-related spaces are clean, organized, and inventoried/audited.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Perform assigned duties during safety drills and emergency situations as per the station bill.
  • Safety Management: Actively participate in the weekly safety meeting and other safety management system issues.
  • Drilling Operations: Operate rig tongs, wrenches, and other equipment required for making up or breaking out tubular; perform other tasks necessary for drilling operations.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university studying engineering; preferably with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical, or Petroleum.
Skills and Experience
  • Leadership Skills: Effective leadership skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving abilities are required to navigate complex offshore environments.
  • Communication Skills: Confident in oral and written communication, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to new environments and situations, with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to organize work tasks efficiently, with a focus on safety and productivity.
  • Analytical Skills: Sound analytical and planning skills are necessary to ensure successful completion of tasks.
