Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties:
  • Oversee all above-deck operations and manage the crew and support vessels assigned to the project.
  • Act as McDermott's representative, ensuring the safe execution of installation activities as outlined in the Project Installation Procedure, while coordinating with offshore operations and project management teams to maintain workflow and report progress.
  • Uphold safety standards by refusing unsafe work practices and ensuring compliance with established HSES Safety Standards and Work Practices.
  • Familiarize yourself with offshore operations HSES procedures and ensure that all supervisory staff are informed of these protocols.
  • Adhere to Emergency Response Procedures and communicate responsibilities to crew members.
  • Ensure compliance with all McDermott Offshore Operations Procedures.
  • Follow company policies and ensure that team members do the same.
  • Lead pre-shift meetings with shift supervisors to discuss upcoming tasks and maintain effective communication among all supervisors to enhance safety, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels to ensure safe project operations.
Required Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience:
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in the offshore construction sector.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possession of OIM or OVM Certification/Training/DP Awareness.
