Job Title: Shift Supervisor

Reports to: Offshore Manager

Location: Offshore

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Shift Supervisor is accountable for the safe and effective execution of operations in compliance with applicable regulations and company policies. This role emphasizes adherence to the Company Code of Conduct, Vision, Values, and Behaviors, supported by a Safe System of Working that includes Safety Accountability.

All personnel are expected to perform their duties safely and professionally, ensuring that the Company’s HSEQ Performance Expectations are integrated into daily practices, fostering a culture of positive behaviors and strong leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure the safe execution of operations in line with relevant regulations, contracts, and company procedures.
  • Maintain communication with the DP operator regarding any operational status changes and keep the bridge informed of equipment status and movements.
  • Oversee all deck activities and ensure that all equipment utilized by the project team is in optimal condition regarding performance, maintenance, and calibration.
  • Have the authority to halt operations if any equipment malfunction poses a risk to safety or operational success.
  • Fulfill all reporting obligations as specified in the project documentation.
  • Gather necessary project information and secure approvals from customer representatives as needed.
  • Conduct thorough handover briefings before transferring control to a relief Supervisor, including during breaks.
  • Provide adequate coaching and supervision to all personnel involved in operations to ensure safe and effective task execution.
  • Familiarize with and implement the management of change processes and procedures.
  • Enhance collaboration between project and marine teams.
  • Optimize the use of standardized work processes across project and marine departments.
  • Actively promote the implementation of the Competence Assurance Assessment Program for personnel engaged in operations.
  • Assist onshore management as required in ongoing operations, business development, training, and HSEQ activities.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Offshore Manager.
AUTHORITY AND DIMENSIONS
  • Operate within the established Code of Conduct.
  • Adhere to Subsea 7's Business Management System (BMS).
  • Follow and execute standards and procedures for Operations Management.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Minimum of 10 years of experience in offshore construction or ROV operations in a relevant environment.
